Osgoode Hall

Osgoode Hall has been a Toronto landmark and the hub of legal life in Ontario for more than 170 years. Built by the Law Society of Upper Canada, construction was completed in 1832. The building was named after William Osgoode, the first Chief Justice of the Province. The front façade is essentially as it was in 1860 with the ornate iron fence still surrounding the gardens and grounds. Interior architectural highlights abound.

Visitors to Osgoode Hall willingly lined-up during Doors Open events for self-guided tours of the building.
