![]() Flatiron (Gooderham) Building This wedge-shaped Victorian landmark, designed by architect David Roberts Jr., was built for financier George Gooderham in 1892 to serve as administrative offices for the Gooderham and Worts Distillery. A notable example of a combination of Gothic Revival and Romanesque Revival styles, it is a rare example of the 'flat-iron' architecture form. Designated for its architectural value under the Ontario Heritage Act, it has recently undergone extensive restoration work. The Flatiron building has participated in three Doors Open Toronto events, drawing large crowds every year. |
