Embassy of France

This formal and massive building designed by French architect Eugène Beaudoin, is a remarkable example of Art Deco architecture. The interior, richly decorated with marble, bronze, tapestries and frescoes, is the work of French artists commissioned to depict themes of French and Canadian history.

Over 3,000 visitors enjoyed guided tours during Ottawa's inaugural Doors Open event in 2002.
