Courthouse Market Grille (former York County Courthouse)
Built as the third courthouse serving the City of Toronto, it has been the setting for many historic events of local and national significance. From political events, such as the last public execution, to cultural developments such as the formation of t he Group of Seven, the site embodies Canadian history. Many original facilities of the courthouse have been preserved to this day including jail cells and the magnificent staircase. In 1909, it became the home of the Arts & Letters Club. The courthouse has been carefully restored by the Liberty Entertainment Group.
